born and raised in berlin, renate moved to the united states in 1961. aside from painting, she loves to travel, which provides much inspiration to her artistic endeavors. she began working in pastel, and her present medium is oil.
renate is a member of the rochester art club and the irondequoit art club.
her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions across the rochester and thousand island regions of upstate new york.
she has received several awards for her work, including the president’s award in the rochester art club, and “best of show” in the irondequoit art club.
renate is forever grateful for the teaching guidance she has received from g.a. sheller and lana pejovic.
